147th Anniversary of Davie Street

Davie Street Presbyterian Church, USA in downtown Raleigh will be celebrating its 147th anniversary, November 5-8.  The Church will be hosting organ recitals by Dr. Paula Harrell and Glenn Little during the noon hour, November 5 & 6.  Friday night services, beginning at 6:30, will feature Dr. Felecia Ward Hardy, Commissioned Ruling Elder, St. Paul Presbyterian, Louisburg, and the choir of St. Augustine’s University with dinner after the service.  On Saturday, a day of service will include a free community shredding event held in the church’s parking lot from 11:00 – 2:00, the collection of canned goods for the church’s Food Bank, and distribution of toiletries and clothing to the homeless.  During the 11:00 Sunday morning service, the church is honored to have guest minister, Daniel Peebles, former NCSU track and football star and National Football League wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Cleveland Browns.  The public is invited to all events.
